Ross Blankenship, PhD is an organizational psychologist, author, and entrepreneur. As the founder of Tuesday Advisors, he partners with organizations on initiatives related to executive coaching, CEO succession planning, leadership development, and high-stakes hiring. As a coach, he works with CEOs and senior leaders and select number of non-profit executives and government officials each year. His leadership coaching practice integrates psychological insight with philosophical inquiry, emphasizing mindset shifts and behavioral experiments that help clients learn and grow. Known for his relational and pragmatic style, he specializes in coaching leaders who are navigating transitions, expanding skillsets, taking on new challenges, and wrestling with complex career questions.
Before founding Tuesday Advisors, Ross co-founded Leadhr, a software startup that helped organizations measure cultural values at scale for hiring, onboarding, and team development. After taking the company through a startup accelerator, he successfully sold the IP to another HR technology firm. Earlier in his career, he was a core member of Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services team, advising Fortune 500 companies on executive hiring and C-suite succession. He also founded the executive assessment practice at Bespoke Partners, advising private equity-backed software firms.
Ross holds certifications in Hogan Assessments, MBTI, SHL, CCL’s Benchmarks 360, and MRG’s IDI and LEA Suite. He earned his B.A. in English from the University of Virginia and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Consulting Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.
He lives in Birmingham, AL with his wife, two daughters, and their two vizslas named after bourbon: Woodford and Wink.
